About Pragolem

A Guide-Led Project Built in Prague

Pragolem was created by two certified guides who wanted to combine historical depth, practical clarity, and honest human contact on every route.

Our story

Pragolem started from a simple observation: many tours in Prague were either too superficial or too rigid. We wanted a format where guests could understand the city in context while still enjoying a relaxed and personal atmosphere.

Today we guide in English and French across the Old Town, Prague Castle area, and private formats. Every itinerary is designed to help visitors leave with both concrete orientation and a deeper understanding of Czech history.

Guides Pragolem Praga. Lucas and Nathan

Lucas and Nathan

The two co-founders guiding Pragolem tours on the ground.

Lucas is a Colombian-born architect educated in Paris who has lived in Prague for more than a decade. An avid traveler, he can give a clear-sighted view on how the city has changed, on top of the history, the myths, the legends. Witty and loquacious (he speaks French, English, Spanish and Czech), you get more than you expect with Lucas.

Pragolem was born from the idea of the Golem constantly wandering through the city, watching over it and acting as its guardian. After all, he was Prague’s original 16th-century superhero. I see my work in much the same way: as a storyteller walking the streets of Prague, bringing its history, characters and stories to life, while sharing my love and knowledge of this beautiful city. If that’s what I get to do for a living, I can hardly imagine a better job.

Nathan is British, but fell in love with Prague many years ago, when Lucas and he studied Czech together at Charles University. Interested in language and literature, Nathan's tours have a heavier focus on Medieval politics, and the grim and the real from the various historical periods. Prepare for defenestrations and executions.

I love this job, because I get to meet people and hear different stories - and I get to speak about something I'm passionate about: Prague. And I get to work outside. Ideal.

How we guide

Our tours follow three principles that shape every explanation, recommendation, and route decision.

Historical accuracy

We prioritize verified context over dramatic simplifications so visitors can trust what they hear.

Human delivery

We adapt pace, examples, and detail level to the group in front of us, not to a fixed script.

Practical clarity

We give useful orientation and local advice that stays relevant after the tour is over.
